PSU Meteorology students swept first place, second year in a row.
For the second straight Severe Local Storms conference, PSU meteorology students have swept first place in the oral and poster presentation awards!
Alicia Klees (Yvette Richardson's graduate student) won first place for best oral presentation, and Eli Dennis (Matt Kunjian's undergraduate student) won for best poster presentation!

Alicia Klees (Best Student Oral Presentation) for her talk titled:
"Comparison of the Tornadic and Nontornadic Supercells Intercepted by VORTEX2 on 10 June 2010"
Eli Dennis (Best Student Poster Presentation) for his poster titled:
"The impact of hodograph shape on hail production in simulated supercell storms"
The 27th AMS Conference on Severe Local Storms was held 2-7 November in Madison, WI.
