Thompson and her research team are now collaborating with researchers at the North-West University Chemistry Department, the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, the South African Weather Service and the University of Witwatersrand to measure vertical column nitrogen dioxide (NO2), ozone and other air quality constituents in the Johannesburg-Pretoria region.
