Student Life
Meteorology graduate students have their very own lounge on the 4th floor of Walker Building (409 Walker). It's a great place to share coffee and conversation with their classmates and meteo faculty and staff. This lounge was furnished via a generous donation from an anonymous faculty member.
The Joel N. Myers Weather Center on the 6th floor of Walker Building is a spectacular area open for use by all the graduate students and faculty and staff as well.
Graduate students have a number of opportunities to get involved in department, college, and university activities, a few of which are listed below and in the menu to the left.
- AMS Travel Grants
- MASGO (Meteorology and Atmospheric Science (student) Grad Organization)
- EMS Graduate Student Council
- Graduate Student Association
- Supportive Network for Women in Meteorology (SWIM)
